An automatic car allows you more time to concentrate on what is going on around you. You are in control with no gears or clutch to worry about. The automatic gearbox ‘automatically’ changes gears for you leaving you to concentrate on the road making you SAFER, especially in busy traffic or long journeys.

Learning with Auto 1st puts you in the driving seat from your first lesson. Start, stop and steer more easily. In fact all aspects of driving in an automatic you will find easier. No embarrassing moments from stalling at traffic lights, just you in control of the car!

Without the gears and clutch to worry about, you can concentrate on passing your test in an easier, relaxed, safe and competent way.

The differences between an automatic transmission and a manual transmission car are simply that an automatic car uses a selector not a gear lever, once the selector is put into drive everything else is automatic therefore there is no need for a clutch pedal.

Automatic is also the choice if you have found it difficult using gears and a clutch driving a manual car.
